Golf courses require a large amount of time to maintain, and at a considerable cost.

But what is the aim of all this? For the enjoyment of the golfer!

Therefore, it is important that all the energy and effort is backed up by robust competition policies, and appropriate course setup.

How appropriate would it be to setup a 6,000m course for an U14 boys and girls championship?

Golf Victoria are able to come out and present on some of the basic setup issues and competition conditions that all 'course staff' and 'club match committee' members should have an understanding of, including:
