National and State organisations supporting golfers with disability

Limbs 4 Life are a national peer support organisation for people with a limb difference in Australia. Limbs 4 Life in partnership with Golf Australia have established a national golf clinic program for people with a limb difference. The clinics are run on a monthly basis with a PGA professional with an advanced accreditation in blind and disabled golf coaching. For your nearest centre visit the Golf Month website.

Special O Vic
Special Olympics Victoria provide year-round sports participation and competition for people with an intellectual disability of all skill levels. Fourteen sports across the nation are offered at a local level based on athlete interest and the availability of local facilities and volunteers. Special Olympics Victoria run golf programs and a state golf championship for golfers with an interllectual disability.

Blind Golf Victoria (BGV) has been formed to promote the game of golf amongst Blind and Vision Impaired People. 

BGV work with Blind Golf Australia to run events and tournaments specifically for people with a vision impairment. Blind and vision impaired people play golf very much the same as sighted golfers, however, the caddy plays the most vital role, as the blind golfer's eyes.

Deaf Golf Victoria (DGV) aims to promote, encourage and provide opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing golfers to play golf at a variety of golf courses in Melbourne and country areas of Victoria. DGV also provides training sessions, and events to assist golfers in understanding the golf rules and enjoy the art of playing golf.

 Empower Golf Australia  promote golf for Australians of all abilities through a national golf clinic program for golfers with disability. Empower Golf Hubs are equipped with an OttoBock Paragolfer, a device that enables golfers with a spinal cord injury or mobility issue to stand up and play golf.
