The second round of the Junior Victorian Open saw some incredible scores recorded across the three courses. Conditions were again perfect for golf, overcast skies and zero wind made for a birdie bonanza this morning on the stunning links courses along the Southern Ocean.

Two course records were broken today from the Filipino Yuka Saso and the overnight leader Hannah Park with players carding seven under rounds. Saso’s round came at the stunning Barwon Heads Golf Course and Parks at the Sir Nick Faldo’s Creek Course.

Saso now sits 4 strokes behind Park who leads at -10 under par.

Huntingdale’s Jasper Stubbs signed for a super six under-par 66 to lead the Boys Open at by one shot at the halfway mark, leapfrogging South Australian Jackson Kalz. Stubbs took advantage of the conditions to now find himself poised at the top of the leaderboard at the halfway mark.

Hailing from Wodonga, todays lowest round came from Daniel Gill who carded a stunning eight under-par 64 on the Creek Course. His scintillating round was composed of 7 birdies, 1 eagle and a single bogey. Gill’s round today sees him jump 42 positions on the boys leaderboard to sit at five under at the halfway mark.

Piper Stubbs from Huntingdale is leading the under 16 Girls Open after rounds of 74, 69 to lead by two strokes from Queensland’s Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman
