Future Stars Rankings

Future Stars Logo News

The newly formed Future Stars Rankings is a yearly OOM program encompassing four different events, the Victorian Primary Schools, Junior Secondary Schools, Victorian U16 Classic, and the Stuart Appleby Rookie Series events.

The Future Stars rankings is a significant step in streamlining all of the introductory competitions not requiring a handicap that Golf Victoria has to offer and provide a clear pathway of golf events for the development of young players. Many of the state's finest young players have started out in these events and progressed through the pathway to achieve their golfing goals.

Ranking points can be accrued across all four events in either the boys or girls sections. Victorian Primary Schools, Junior Secondary Schools, and the Stuart Appleby Rookie Series are all played over a modified 9-holes shortened course while the U16 Classic is contested on an 18-hole pitch and putt course.

The first counting event was played on Monday at 13th Beach Golf Links with Mitchell Crabbe taking home the 100 points and the outright lead in the boys section.
