As students across the state begin to pack their school bags ready for the first day of school, many of them also start packing their golf bags ready to attack all the primary and secondary events on offer in 2017. After a hugely successful 2016 season both Golf Victoria and School Sport Victoria are looking forward to what this year will bring. The primary and secondary events are a highlight on the calendar for all involved, with over 2500 students involved in the events last year.

The popularity of the school events keep growing every year with thousands of kids beginning or continuing their journey into the game of golf. With an infectious buzz around all the events, it’s hard to ignore the smiles on the players faces as many of them face the golf course for their first time. With all the rules modified, all the holes shortened, and equipment available to borrow, the school events provide a fantastically inviting environment for all the students to have fun and learn about the game.
