On the greens for frontline conservation

Thin green line

The Thin Green Line Foundation will be hosting its annual golf fundraiser 'On the Greens for Frontline Conservation' on Friday 2 December 2016.

The charity event will take place at the picturesque RACV Cape Schanck Resort and Golf Course in the Mornington Peninsula from 8.30am – 2.30pm.

It is set to be a fantastic day for a great cause, featuring 18 holes of Premium Ambrose Golf, a Gourmet BBQ Lunch and a keynote lunch address from Geoff Cox. There will also be some great prize giveaways.

The Thin Green Line Foundation works, predominantly in developing countries and conflict zones, to provide urgent aid, training, equipment and funding to park rangers and their families, who risk and often lose their lives protecting endangered wildlife and threatened eco-systems.

A Rangers job is incredibly dangerous and, sadly, 1,000 of these brave men and women have been killed in the line of duty in the last ten years that we know of. An estimated 42% of these deaths were at the hands of illegal poachers.
