SAJG Club Teams Championship

2015 Club Teams Image

The Victoria Golf Club has taken home the 2015 SAJG Club Teams Championship in blustery and warm conditions around the Rosanna Golf Club today. The team comprised Sophie Byrne, Sayumi De Costa, Alexandra Kerr and Tiana Wanigasekera. All four girls played fantastically in tough conditions with Sayumi, Alexandra and Tiana all breaking their handicaps and Sophie not far off either. This is now the fifth Club Teams Championship Victoria has won since the inaugural year.

In close pursuit was the team from Heidelberg Golf Club narrowly missing the title by a single shot. Jack Andrew and Angus Turner lead the way for the Heidelberg team with scores of +9 and +8 respectively.

Latrobe Golf Club finished in third place helped by the score of the day from Sophie Thomson finishing with a +10.

Eight clubs from across Victoria were represented in the event today by 45 players who ranged in handicap from 1 to 40. All players enjoyed the Rosanna Golf Club layout and we thank the host club for preparing the course in such great condition.
