Woodlands continue relationship with Mazda Vic Four Ball

Mazda 2016 Woodlands

A cold & windy morning didn’t stop 100 players taking to the course in what was the last City Qualifier for the 2016 Mazda Vic Four Ball. The Woodlands Golf Club, located in Mordialloc, was host with participants complimenting on the course and the club’s hospitality.

In the men section, it was Ray Baxter (RACV) & Dennis Flenjte (Eastern) leading the pack with a fine score of 47 points. Ray has a strong relationship with Mazda as he is a previous Managing Director of Mazda Australia. The pair began their round from the 6th hole and recorded amazingly 11 three point holes.

Today’s mixed category was won by Peter Smiles & Donnalee Ross from Mansfield with 40 points. And it was local members Tricia McCormack & Elizabeth Dickens who finished on top of the women’s leaderboard with a Four Ball score of 42 points.

The Mazda Vic Four Ball will continue over the next few weeks with spots still available at Warrnambool (Sunday 21 Feb), Shepparton (Sunday 6 March) & Mildura (Sunday 6 March). All qualifiers will participate in the State Final at The National & Sorrento on Monday 21 & Tuesday 22 March.
