Squads

U12 Talent ID Camp

Specifically designed to talent identify athletes competing in the Victorian Primary School Championship final.

A one day camp is conducted by GV coaches is offered to 12 athletes to educate the athletes and their families of the GV High Performance process.

 

U18 Junior Squad

The U18 Junior Squad will be provided with assessment and training sessions throughout the squad season (June - February) under the guidance of Golf Victoria's state coaches. This tuition will include technical, physical, mental and course management skills. 

 

Applications

Applications for the 2017 - 2018 Junior Squad will open in May.

GV Elite Squad - Junior

Eligible players are male and female junior golfers under 18 years of age who are Australian citizens, resident in Victoria and belong to Victorian golf club. Athletes cannot be current members of the VIS program or GA Junior National Squad. 

Players are also required to meet two of the below benchmarks in order to be selected in the GV Elite Squad as a junior:

 

? Winner National Junior Ranking Event (minimum 54 holes)
? Selection in GA National Junior Team
? Top 10 National Junior Ranking
? Top 50 National Ranking
? Top 600 R&A World Ranking (men & women)
? Top 64 US Junior or British (boys/girls) Championship
? Top 64 Callaway Junior Worlds Tournament (15-17yo) or Top 10 in age divisions
? Top 64 Australian Amateur (boys) and Top 32 (girls)
? Top 8 Australian Junior Championships

There are a maximum of 8 scholarships (4 boys & 4 girls) available each scholarship year. The scholarship year runs annually from March.

Each scholarship holder is entitled to $4000 funding agreement ($2500 tournaments, $1500 sports science & coaching).
